The Democratic Party (PD, at rule), the Conservative Party (PC at rule) and Greater Romania Party (PRM, in opposition) on Monday presented in the meeting of joint standing bureaux of the parliament’s two chambers, the lists with senators and deputies designated to represent Romania as full-fledged members of the European Parliament, as of January 1, 2007 until the European elections.
The respective lists are to be validated by the joint standing offices in the meeting of November 23.
The PD parliamentary group designated senators Maria Petre and Radu Tarle and deputies Roberta Alma Anastase, Marian Jean Marinescu and Monica Maria Iacob Ridzi.
The Conservative Party designated senator Silvia Ciornei and deputy Stefan Glavan, whereas PRM appointed senators Eugen Mihaiescu, Viorica Moisiuc and deputies Petre Popeanga, Daniela Buruina Aprodu and Cristian Stanescu.
President of European Parliament Josep Borrell Fontelles on November 17 called on chairmen of Chamber of Deputies and Romanian Senate to inform him as soon a possible about the names and contact numbers – address and e-mail address – of the Romanian parliamentarians designated to attend the works of the European Parliament.
