Minister Boagiu attending informal meeting of EU regional policy ministers

European Integration Minister Anca Boagiu is attending on Tuesday the informal meeting of the EU ministers for regional policy, in Brussels, a European Integration Ministry press release informs.
The meeting will be focused on the role of the cohesion policies in promoting innovation and competition within the community space and it will be chaired by Finnish Minister of Regional and Municipal Affairs Hannes Mannine, given that Finland currently holds the 6-month rotating EU presidency.
The meeting will be attended by some 140 officials from the EU member states, Romania, Bulgaria, Norway and the EU institutions, the Finnish EU presidency’s website informs.
The cohesion policies will benefit from a third of the EU budget for 2007-2013. ROMPRES
